There were several great portfolios. I even took an hour off of comicon to come and check them out!

Peer Critique 2
I had three more peers take a look at my site to tell me what they thought. i still had the beard guy up during this critique.
Roy:" the scrolling is nice and flow and links work well, the color of the picture matches with the color of the pallet."
Justin(Not in this class): "its nice and simple and the textures go well and match the mood i get from you."
Danielle:"create a reason for the people viewing your site to scroll down, add a few different illustrations in there."
Several good recommendations here, i am thinking about applying a few other illustrations to my site or possible a frame by frame of a drawing. something different.

Professional Feedback
Today i had another teacher at The Art Institute of Seattle take a look at my site to give me feed back about it.
Melanie Menke: "there is no reason for me to scroll down, nothing is pulling me down. you have a professional look but you main page illustration is pulling away from that. you should have your logo right when the site appears so people know where they are at. create a reason to scroll down."
This was all very good advice and i have made several changes to my site to try and meet these recommendations.

Peer Critique
In class today i had several people take a look at my site to give me feedback.
-Ralph: "the Face on the front of the site was distracting and didn't quite pull you into the site, the roll over effects were nice."
- random student:" i like the beard guy."
- Sergio: " create some sort of way for the user to know to scroll down."

Concept Statement
The goal of my website is to show and demonstrate my knowledge in design and my creativity in different mediums that are able to be applied to the Graphic Design field. My directed audience would be my possible clients and my future employers who are looking for a Graphic Designer with my skill sets. Designing my own website allows me to add a bit of myself to it, which in turn allows my audience to get a small sense of what my personality is like. My site also allows my audience to access my portfolio work to see projects I have worked on in the past or projects that I worked on while attending the Art Institute. This will help advance me in my career by showing my possible employers the work I am able to do. This site will also allow my peers t brows my work and provide feedback and pointers to things I could work on.

Logos in Class
here are a few of the random logos i was working on in class. most likely i am going to stick with the one i made last quarter but i may try and play around with the mustache Ms a bit.
Website Analysis 1
http://strangelove.me/
With this site i am a big fan of the way it is laid out. on the main page the person has all of their work and projects . his nav bar is off to the left and the color scheme is very simple and elegant. the selection of navigation is a bit long but demonstrates the wide range of work.
http://www.stevenbonner.com/work/
Again for this site his work is demonstrated right on the main page with each box being a different project. his nav bar is located at the top of his page and is fixed for easy access. this also help his work by allowing it to stand out a bit more and take up more space.
http://www.ollygibbs.com/
For this portfolio site the work is also on the main page. his nav bar is located at the top of the page but is not fixed and gets lost when scrolling. what i really like about this page though is when you select a project a side box comes from the right with the project inside of it. his color scheme is also very simple and easy on the eyes.
